Introduction

In this series of videos, a second grade teacher using SRA Imagine It! helps her students build knowledge about the theme Look Again. In order to begin their knowledge building, students use their prior knowledge and the teacher provides background knowledge to discuss the unit theme and important vocabulary words. Another step in the knowledge building process is to add concepts and questions to the Concept/Question Board, which will be referenced throughout the unit. Finally, students continue their knowledge building of the unit theme by completing the steps in the Inquiry Process, including formulating research questions, making and revising conjectures, collecting information, and giving presentations.
